As an innovative company, HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation continues to venture in different services that would keep the company growing. HPCC offers services such as general construction, architectural designing, construction management and interior designing.

One of the in demand services that HPCC gets to work on is interior designing. With the company’s elite and customized designs, clients and prospect buyers are seeking out for the company’s interior designing service.

Recently, HPCC was able to render its interior designing service to one of the units at Primavera Residences. Just an overview, Primavera Residences is the first green building condominium here in Cagayan de Oro City. The said condo is located at Pueblo de Oro’s business park beside SM City mall. And HPCC worked on a 1 bedroom unit in the said condominium. It took the company approximately one month to work on the interior design of the said unit and just last 27th of June it was turned over to the owner of the unit.

This project is an addition to the company’s portfolio for interior designing. And HPCC is privileged to have work on such project because it did not only recognized the company’s ability in interior designing but it also made the company known for working in one of Cagayan de Oro’s pride condominiums. Kudos to HPCC and Primavera Residences for this collaboration!

It has been a busy month for HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation. There are a lot of upcoming projects set on this month of May and on-going projects are still on its full swing construction. Also, schedule for turn-over of some finished projects are set within this month.

For this month, the first project that we have turned over to its rightful owner is our project at Morning Mist Village. It was finally finished and the family concerned had its house blessing ceremony last 26th of May. Another project that held its house warming party was our project at Pueblo Golf Estates. Though we still have some finishing touches to do with the said project, the family decided to conduct its house warming last May 31, 2013.

HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation has gained new achievements as the above-mentioned projects were done already. The company has yet fulfilled another family’s dream; and it is a privilege for HPCC to become a part in realizing their dream home.

To the family owners of the above-mentioned projects, thank you for trusting HPCC to be the builder and fulfiller of your dreams. It has been a great time working and serving with you. Tuscania CDO is a renowned subdivision that is located in the heart of the city – Kauswagan,
Cagayan de Oro City.  It is an Italian-inspired village with houses that is uniquely designed in sync with the subdivision’s theme.

And now, HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation proudly announces its collaboration with Tuscania CDO. It was decided that one of Tuscania’s house models – Capri, a bungalow type of house will be built by HPCC. Of course, in building the Capri model house, we’ll be using the Plaswall Technology. This partnership with Tuscania CDO is another way for the company to further promote the usage of Plaswall Building System here in Cagayan de Oro City. Plaswall Building System is widely used in Luzon and Visayas already and HPCC aims to spread the use of it here in Mindanao. With the advantage that the technology’s giving among other materials used, the turn-over of the house is at its best quality compared to the others.

Just last May 20, 2013, a groundbreaking and lot dedication ceremony was conducted. It has been practiced by HPCC to hold such activity first before starting the actual layout of the project. It is essential to offer our every endeavor to the Lord Almighty; the earth is His and everything in it. So, we should honor Him in everything that we do because it has been given by the Lord.

HPCC intends the faster delivery of the project by using the Plaswall Building System; that’s why the company targeted to finish the project in less than a month. And in just 11 days of work, layout and structural works are done. For next week scheduled works, it is set to work on the semi finishing of the house such as skim coating and furring. Here’s another first for HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation – a School Building Project! Yes! It’s a first for HPCC to venture in the construction of a school building. And this certain building is of Noah’s Ark Christian School that is located at Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City.

From construction of residential buildings to commercial building and now a school building project, HPCC has indeed widened its perspective to greater innovation. With HPCC’s ingenuity, it has helped the company to further its horizon and embark in new things. The company has come out from its comfort zone of building residential houses and has extend its services to constructing commercial and school buildings.

This school building project will be a remarkable one for HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation as of course it’ll be a first for the company. Also, Plaswall Technology will be used in building for faster delivery and high quality finish of the said project. This certain project is a modern designed two-storey building that is composed of four classrooms; and it is uniquely designed by one of our in-house architects.

Last 18th of May 2013, the Noah’s Ark Christian School conducted its groundbreaking and lot dedication service. The faculty and staffs of NACS were present in the ceremony that was ministered by the CDO First Assembly of God Church. In the ceremony, the NACS staffs couldn’t contain their excitement for this project and we at HPCC as well are eager to see the result of this project.

To NACS, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for giving us the opportunity to venture in this project. We’re glad that you have entrusted us to realize your school’s dream, which is having a new school building. And, thank you Lord for this amazing grace that you have bestowed upon our company.

Hillsborough Pointe welcomes another HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation’s project. Counting from last year’s project at Hillsborough Pointe, this certain house construction is HPCC’s fifth project in the said subdivision. It is also HPCC’s second project in the subdivision that will be using the Plaswall Technology.

This project is a two-storey house that will be built in a ridge type of lot. It will be an exciting project for the company because it is architecturally designed fitting for a ridge lot. The plans and design for this house was made according to the client’s concept. And this is going to be another remarkable project for the company.

Last May 10, 2013, Groundbreaking and Lot Dedication service was conducted for this project. It has been HPCC’s practice to organize and render such service. The said dedication was led by the CDO First Assembly of God Church that was attended by the concerned family and staffs of HPCC.

Kudos to HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation for another successful project! A newly built bungalow house was turned over to another satisfied client last April 27, 2013; in the same date, house blessing was also conducted.

This house and lot project of HPCC at Xavier Estates is the company’s second house construction that was made by Plaswall Building System. Since the company’s venture in this technology, construction of houses has been faster thus the target completion is attained on time. Using the Plaswall Technology, it ensures delivery of a good quality house to the client. As a result of this, HPCC continues to promote and market the use of Plaswall Building System.

For this project, HPCC proudly turned over the house to its rightful owner as this will now be included in the company’s portfolio of customized and conceptualized houses. The house was built according to the client’s desires and plans; and we are glad to see the satisfaction shown by the owner of the house. And in return, we would like to thank the family for giving us the opportunity to realize their dream home. Seeing the smiles plastered on their faces as they have seen the outcome of the construction, gave us the will to continue our undertaking.

The turning over and house blessing of the house was a success as the family’s friends and relatives were present in the event. And we just couldn’t contain our gladness hearing the guests’ praises and appreciation for the built house. With this, HPCC would like to express its sincerest gratitude to the family for believing in our services and abilities in building their house. As we have realized their dreams, ours has also been fulfilled and that is to be a blessing unto others. And we all deserve applause for that – Cheers!

The competition continues as HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation conducted its culminating activity cum sports fest day two. This time around, the game is all about the race to the top. It’s a survival of the fittest game as this would be the last game to determine who will be the overall champion of HPCC’s Sports fest year 2013.

Last April 13, 2014, HPCC held its very first edition of the Amazing Race at Marvilla Beach Resort with the theme of “The Way of a Disciple”. Each team was required to do specific tasks in every pit stop. There were 7 pit stops prepared and in order for them to be able to go to the next pit stop, they need to accomplish a certain challenge written in the task cards.

The race was not an ordinary race because in every challenge that they have there’s a lesson to learn behind it. The challenges were all biblical related that it encompasses the true form and way of discipleship. It contains the teachings of Jesus Christ to His disciples. The tasks prepared tested the teams’ faith with each other; their cooperation, physical strength and ability to think in a limited time. At the end of the race, one group was able to surpass all the challenges and got to the top – the Painter 1 and 2 team.

After the race, scores were tallied including the scores of the day one sports fest. And here are the results:

• Champion: Painter 2/Furring Team
• 1st Place: Structural/Steelman Team
• 2nd Place: Plaswall Team
• 3rd Place: Bodega/Driver Team tied with the Painter 1 Team

Once again, the workers were able to have a time off from work. They were able to have fun and relax on the beach; they also had a time to bond with their fellow workers and did some recreational stuff. It was indeed a fun filled day. Congratulations to all the winners! They do deserve the win. We are looking forward for another exciting and exhilarating sports fest activity next year. Cheers to us!

In cooperation with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation has participated in the National Greening Program of the said department. Last April 6, 2013, HPCC conducted a tree planting activity at Barangay Mambuaya; where in the workers of HPCC were given the opportunity to take part in saving Mother Earth. Each worker obligingly planted the 200 Narra seedlings that were given by the DENR; after planting the seedlings, tree guards were placed around to protect it.

It was not only a tree planting activity for HPCC because at the same time, the year 2013 Sports fest of the company was also conducted. After the tree planting, all the workers were gathered in the covered court of Barangay Mambuaya for it is the venue for all the sports competition. The workers actively participated in all the games including basketball, volleyball, chess and dart competition.

The workers, which were grouped according to their specialized skills, had a friendly fight in each competition. All played fairly and had a great competition. In every game played, there are teams that had excelled and were able to bag a place. And here are the lists of winners for the following competitions:

• Champion – Subcon Team

• 1st Placer – Candilario Gica (Painter 2/Furring)
• 2nd Placer – Randy Calunsag (Painter 2/Furring)

Chess:

• Champion – Rhenan Redosendo (Engineering Department)
• 1st Placer – Jobany Iglesia (Painter 2/Furring Team)
• 2nd Placer – Ramel Ramos (Bodega/Driver Team)
• 3rd Placer – Christopher Quilpo (Buhos Team)

The activity gave the workers an adrenaline rushing and fun filled day. They all had a great day off from work; a time to enjoy and relax. All the games were the highlights of the event but the remarkable one was the basketball game between the HPCC Admin including the company’s Corporate President, Mr. Robinson P. Masangcay and combined group of the Foremen and Lead men from the different teams. It was just a friendly competition between the two groups but the tension was still there. At the end of the game, the HPCC Admin ends up as winner. Congratulations to all the above mentioned winners; they all deserve the win. Kudos to all for the successful activity!

HPCC marches forth! It was not so long ago when HomeChoice Builders Corporation was established. It was founded in June 2006 and then became HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation in June 2009. In its seven short years of existence in the construction business, HPCC has already built a trademark in the said field.

For HPCC’s seven years of existence, its advocacy has not been merely about building houses. As the company continually grows, its advocacy also began spreading to wider scopes and thus made the company more successful. As such, conducting bible study services every Monday has made a great impact to the success of the company. Putting God first and acknowledging Him in all the things that He has done has committed HPCC to be a blessing unto others.

In the seven years service of the company, it has built almost 150 houses to date. With the number of houses built, there were almost 150 families also that HPCC was able to help in realizing their dreams. And of course, HomeChoice Planners wouldn’t be able to build all these houses without its staffs and construction workers. HPCC exists in this business not just to build houses but also to help other people. And because the company is a blessing to other people, HPCC has been blessed more with God’s graces.

One of the great blessings that HPCC has received is the soon to construct HCB Building. This very first commercial building project of HPCC is a proof that the company has grown in the construction field. And just last April 2, 2013, HPCC conducted a groundbreaking and lot dedication ceremony for the said building at Golden Glow North Commercial Arcade.

This new project is a four storey commercial building; where in it will cater to commercial and office spaces for rent. There’s also a floor that will be intended for room rentals also. As soon as the building will be finished, HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation will be transferring its office to the new building. This is an exciting project because the Plaswall Building System will be used; and this will be the first commercial building here in Cagayan de Oro City that will be using the said technology. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

This is one of the known verses in the bible that is telling us just how much God loves us. For our salvation, he sacrificed His own son to save us from all of our sins. It is God’s greatest way of showing His unconditional and unending love for us. Jesus Christ, the only son of our God, took away all our sin and shame. Despite of all the evil doings that we have done against the will of God, Jesus took account of it all and died on the cross. What an overwhelming feeling knowing that after all the wrong things we have done, God accepted us and forgave all our sins through the life of His son.

With this, it has been an annual practice for us to celebrate the Lenten Season. Within this time, we take our time off from work and spend the week reflecting on the things that we have done be it good or bad. This is also the time where in we commemorate Jesus Christ’s death and the salvation it has given to us. And as part of this celebration, HomeChoice Planners and Construction Corporation also took time off from work and joined in the celebration of the yearly Lenten Season.

Last March 27, 2013, HPCC conducted a Holy Week reflection service at CDO First Assembly of God church. It was the first time that HPCC held its holy week service in the said church and it was a memorable one. The service had become more meaningful because we were graced by the presence of the four known pastors of CDO FAOG. We were privileged to have been preached by four different pastors that has tackled various topics for us. Ptr. Roger Ruiz taught us about the essence of water baptism. Ptra. Leah Richie, who’s the second preacher, tackled about the meaning of true worship; who, when, where, why and how should we worship God. And lastly, Ptr. Walter Richie, discussed about the roles and importance of the believer and Holy Spirit. Ptr. Elpie Taboclaon, the senior pastor of CDO FAOG also gave some additional insights to the topics that have been discussed. It was a spirit-filled day and everybody learned so much from the topics discussed.

Reflecting on our sins and asking for forgiveness should not be done only in the Lenten Season. Acknowledging God’s presence and commemorating Jesus’ death should not be remembered during holy week only. The Almighty Father is present always and He remembers us always so we too should reciprocate it. Jesus Christ did not die on the cross 2000 years ago carrying only the sins present during those times; He suffered on the road of Calvary and died carrying on His shoulders the shame and sins of all the people from the past; including us in the present and future times. Every day in our lives, we should acknowledge God’s presence and remember the salvation that Jesus Christ has given to us. We need to reciprocate it by abiding God’s will and reading the bible daily. Submit our self fully to the Lord Almighty and receive Jesus Christ in our life. God’s love is unconditional; he sees no wrong or right. He is the only constant in our life and in return, we should make Him constant in our lives also. All glory and praises to God! Happy Resurrection Jesus Christ!
